VGBA Compliance Checklist

$1.00

Use this checklist to document inspections and evaluations of aquatic facility suction outlets, drain covers, and related circulation system components for compliance with the Virginia Graeme Baker Pool and Spa Safety Act (VGBA) and applicable requirements. Verify that drain covers and suction outlet fittings are properly installed, securely attached, within their approved service life, and appropriate for the specific installation. Document available manufacturer information, cover ratings, installation dates, visible defects, missing components, and any identified deficiencies requiring corrective action. Record inspection findings, recommended repairs, and follow-up measures to support ongoing compliance and reduce the risk of suction entrapment hazards. Any suspected noncompliance or unsafe condition should be promptly addressed by qualified personnel before the affected aquatic venue is returned to service. This checklist supports facility safety management but does not, by itself, certify VGBA compliance.
